The Bruins will open the 2011-12 season against Philadelphia on Oct. 6 at TD Garden. The team will raise its championship banner that night against the club that eliminated them from the 2009-10 playoffs.
Opening night will be the first of a three-game season-opening homestand. The Bruins will play 13 of their first 17 games at home.
They will visit Winnipeg twice this season, as the relocated Atlanta franchise will remain in the Southeast Division. The Bruins will play road games against the Pacific Division teams.
