Michael Ryder signs with Dallas
Michael Ryder has signed a two-year, $7 million contract with Dallas, according to TSN. The Bruins had informed Ryder they would continue to negotiate if the Newfoundland native didn't find a deal on the market. In Dallas, Ryder will be reunited with former Montreal teammate Mike Ribeiro.
The 31-year-old scored 18 goals and 23 assists in 79 regular-season games this past year. In 25 playoff games, the third-line wing scored eight goals and nine assists. In Game 5 of the first round, Ryder made a glove save on Tomas Plekanec.
Ryder was a Bruin for the last three years, earning $12 million total for his services. Ryder scored 63 goals as a Bruin.
As expected, the Bruins have been quiet today.
