Marc Savard remains bothered by post-concussion syndrome symptoms, according to GM Peter Chiarelli. Savard was recently examined in his hometown of Peterborough, Ontario. Previously, Savardís symptoms included depression, headaches, and memory loss.
Because the Bruins are well under the cap, Savard will not be placed on long-term injured reserve when the regular season starts. If, at any time during the season, the Bruins are in position to exceed the cap by Savardís $4.007 million annual hit, the center will then be placed on LTIR.
Savard will not attend tonightís ring dinner at the Boston Harbor Hotel.
