A number of events are planned in conjunction with tonight's season-opener for the Boston Bruins, which includes the raising of the Stanley Cup championship banner to the rafters of TD Garden prior to a game vs. the Flyers.

At 5:45 p.m., the Stanley Cup will be paraded down Canal and Causeway streets by police, fire and military personnel and a youth hockey team prior to passing through a "white glove stick salute" near the Bobby Orr statue and then proceeding into TD Garden.

A fan fest begins at 4 p.m. at TD Garden Plaza, and includes games and activities, Ice Girls and the Blades mascot appearances, and photo opportunities with the Prince of Wales, Conn Smythe and Vezina trophies won by the Bruins last year. Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final will be played on the screen at the Plaza.

Fans attending the game will receive a commemorative mini-banner on the way in. Ticket-holders are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:30 for the pregame ceremony.
