All done at the Garden. Very little pop from Bruins.

"I think we took today's game way too lightly," Milan Lucic said.

7:57 3d period: Avalanche 1-0
Milan Hejduk slips a wrister through Tuukka Rask. Bad defense from first line. Chasing puck instead of winning battles.

20:00 2d period: 0-0
Sleepy times continue for Bruins. Outshot 26-18. Tuukka Rask bricking up net. Good time to be going on road trip tomorrow.

10:46 2d period: 0-0
Tuukka Rask (22 saves) has been excellent. Had to be. Not getting much help from mates. Avs getting very good looks.

20:00 1st period: 0-0
Uncharacteristic period for Bruins. Bullied by Avs on home ice. Ryan Wilson laid out Tyler Seguin with a clean open-ice hit along the boards. Shawn Thornton asked Wilson later in the period, but the Colorado defenseman was at the end of his shift. Bruins need to generate some more snarl. Tuukka Rask has been excellent.

9:12 1st period: 0-0
Avs with 9-4 shot advantage. Bruins having trouble with Colorado’s forecheck.

1:56 1st period: 0-0
Tussle between Zdeno Chara and Ryan O’Byrne. Chara doesn’t care for an O’Byrne thump. Chara retaliates with a cross-check. Not smart.

0:00 1st period: 0-0
Jordan Caron and Matt Bartkowski out.
