THIRD PERIOD

19:41 -- Bruins, 5-3 -- Bergeron with lone shot into empty net.

17:52 -- Bruins, 4-3 -- Alfredsson with another one-toim bomb.

16:15 Bruins, 4-2 -- Alfredsson with one-time bomb.

Big man battle with 7:00 to go, Chara vs. Neil. Chara lands better shots, but slips to end bout, with Neil successfully fighting temptation to pound Chara while he's down on ice.

10:24 -- Bruins, 4-1. Krejci with more icing on cake. Turning into a sweet night for B's.

Bad hit by Turris on Corvo. Earns Turris 5:00 for boarding.

Boychuk to room after getting clobbered in heavy check by Neil. Bone-rattler.

Underway.

SECOND PERIOD

Bruins go into second break with 3-1 lead. Chance to head home with 3-2-1 mark on road trip.

Period ends with Chara jawing at Carkner. Gentle, giants.

6:25 to go. Game remains very loose. Senators with frequent coughups and turnovers. Puck management lacking.

10:29 -- Thomas smothers sharp wrister by Michael, keeps it 3-1. Boston with 23-14 shot edge.

Bruins already with three goals. Only scored 11 times in other five games of this trip. Return to bountiful.

3:57 -- Bruins, 3-1. Camper's first career goal. Knocks it home from short range after McQauid's shot from above left wing circle bangs around in slot.

2:17 -- Auld repels Seguin mash attempt.

Play resumes.

FIRST PERIOD

First 20:00 in books. Bruins with 2-1 lead and 13-9 shot advantage. Loose game. Bruins skating well, given it's end of a long roadie.

16:13 -- Boston, 2-1. Marchand, on fly, snaps in wrister from just above left wing circle. Bergeron and Chara each with second points of night.

4:15 to go. Still tied, 1-1. Bruins with 10-5 shot lead.

Good hand from crowd when PA announcer intros ex-Bruin Rick Smith, here in audience.

Outstanding glove save by Thomas off Greening's blistering wrister at 12:39. Keeps it 1-1. The olde Thomas on that one. Brilliant.

Bruins kill Chara's cross-checking penalty. Allow no shots. 8:30 to go.

Jordan Caron rides with fellow former WannBs Hennessy and Camper.

3:46 -- Bruins, 1-1 -- Bergeron with equalizer. Parks top of crease and makes forehand pot of rebound off Chara's long one-time slapper.

1:10 -- Senators, 1-0. Karlsson wrists first OTT shot of the night by Tim Thomas.

Ex-Bruin Alex Auld in net for Sens.

Minutes from puck drop. Helmets on. Chinstraps snug.

Shawn Thornton, ailing with flu-like symptoms, is a late scratch for the defending Cup champs. Bay Stater Josh Hennessy back in the lineup.
