Daniel Paille will not play in Sunday’s game against the Rangers. Paille’s equipment remained in his stall in TD Garden after the game, indicating he will not travel to New York for the matinee.

Paille was injured in the third period of Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the Islanders. Paille appeared to injure his left arm after being tripped. Paille tucked his arm into his body as he skated off the ice.

The Bruins have recalled Lane MacDermid from Providence. MacDermid will replace Paille on the fourth line with Gregory Campbell and Shawn Thornton. MacDermid fits the role of fourth-line grinder. MacDermid had chemistry with Campbell and Thornton during training camp. He was one of the final preseason cuts.
