WILMINGTON – The Bruins are practicing their power play to start Day 2 of training camp.

PP1:
Zdeno Chara, Tyler Seguin, David Krejci/Rich Peverley, Milan Lucic/Gregory Campbell, Nathan Horton.

PP2:
Dougie Hamilton, Dennis Seidenberg, Patrice Bergeron, Chris Bourque, Brad Marchand.

In most of the looks, the first unit has been in an umbrella formation, with Chara serving as the primary point man. Seguin is on the left-side half-wall. Lucic and Campbell are rotating as net-front men. Horton is the high-slot shooter.

Krejci and Peverley are rotating on the right point. In Boston, Krejci has always been on the left-side half-boards or goal line. Krejci played the point for Pardubice during the lockout, and also played up top in junior for Gatineau.

On the second unit, Hamilton and Seidenberg are manning the left and right points. Marchand is doing the digging around the net. Bergeron and Bourque have mostly been stationed on the left- and right-side boards, respectively.

The power play has been a regular area of concern for the Bruins.

“I liked our results,” Claude Julien said after practice. “I thought our power play was moving the puck well in practice today and doing a lot of good things. We’ll keep working on that.”

No changes to yesterday’s lineup:

Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Tyler Seguin
Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Nathan Horton
Chris Bourque-Chris Kelly-Rich Peverley
Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton
Lane MacDermid/Jay Pandolfo-Ryan Spooner-Jamie Tardif

Zdeno Chara-Johnny Boychuk
Dennis Seidenberg-Dougie Hamilton
Andrew Ference-Adam McQuaid
Aaron Johnson-Matt Bartkowski
David Warsofsky

Anton Khudobin
