Although Dennis Seidenberg will be a game-time decision, Claude Julien said he was more optimistic than pessimistic that the defenseman would play tonight. Seidenberg was unavailable for the last two games because of a lower-body injury.

Seidenberg participated in the morning skate and took line rushes with Dougie Hamilton. The two were paired in Seidenberg’s only game.

* Tuukka Rask was the first goalie off the ice, indicating he will make his fourth straight start tonight.
