UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Greetings from the Nassau County Coliseum, where the Bruins will conclude their five-game road trip tonight against the Islanders. Boston is 1-0 against the Islanders this season, beating New York, 4-2, on Jan. 25 at TD Garden.

Story lines: Starting goaltender matchup is expected to be the two first-stringers, based on who left the ice first at the conclusion of the morning skate. Evgeni Nabokov is 8-6-1 for the Islanders with a 2.91 goals-against average. Bruins will counter with Rask (9-1-2, 1.97) ... Islanders center John Tavares is tied with Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos for the lead league with 13 goals. Tavares is tied for third in the NHL with 25 points, and he and Matt Moulson (10 goals) form the league's top-scoring duo with 23 goals ... Might this one come down to special teams? Islanders have the fifth-best power play in the league, with 19 goals in 78 chances (24.4 percent). Bruins counter with the NHL's best penalty kill; they've allowed just 3 goals in 58 tries (94.8 percent) ...
