Jay Pandolfo signs one-year, $600,000 contract

The Bruins have signed Jay Pandolfo to a one-year, $600,000 contract. It is a two-way deal that will pay Pandolfo $350,000 in Providence.
The Bruins then placed Pandolfo on waivers. Any team can claim him prior to noon tomorrow. However, given that 29 other teams had a chance to sign Pandolfo, it's unlikely the left wing will be claimed. Pandolfo had been signed to a professional tryout agreement since training camp.
The ex-Boston University star will serve as bottom-six and penalty-killing depth for the Bruins. The Burlington native played for Claude Julien in New Jersey in 2006-07.
