Bruins prepare for finale of road trip
Rich Peverley centered the third line. Peverley was a healthy scratch last night for the first time as a Bruin.
“Obviously you never want to be a healthy scratch,” Peverley said. “But it was a coach’s decision. I know I need to be a lot better. Hopefully from here on out, it will go a lot better and I can use it as motivation.”
* Zdeno Chara, Andrew Ference, Patrice Bergeron, and Brad Marchand were given the day off. They went through off-ice workouts.
* Johnny Boychuk left practice early. Boychuk appeared to take a shot off the right leg. Boychuk needed help hobbling to the dressing room. The defenseman did not return to practice.
* Ryan Spooner needed some work on his left cheek. A deflected puck caught Spooner in the face. Spooner didn't mind. "Makes me look tough," Spooner said.
