The Bruins have promoted Torey Krug from Providence. The defenseman will be available tonight against the Canadiens. This is Krug's first recall of the season.

Krug is one of the prospects available on the trade market. Matt Bartkowski could also be a trade chip. Both could be in tonight's lineup for rival scouts to evaluate prior to a deal.

Krug is the more offensively dynamic of the two young defensemen. Krug, formerly of Michigan State, has 10 goals and 24 assists in 55 games for Providence.

If the Bruins keep Krug, he projects to be a replacement next season for Andrew Ference, who will become an unrestricted free agent after this year.
