WILMINGTON – After today’s practice at Ristuccia Arena, Claude Julien noted that Zdeno Chara was on the ice for two of Montreal’s four goals last night.

In that way, the Bruins didn’t lose the game because Chara was off for 17 minutes after taking on Alexei Emelin.

“What Zdeno Chara did yesterday, I support 100 percent,” said Julien. “Besides that 17 minutes of penalties he got, what he did is going to go a long way for our hockey club. Especially for Tyler Seguin. Tyler’s a good player. He needs to know everybody’s got his back. Zdeno showed that yesterday. That will allow Tyler to become a better player. When you know people have your back, you can play at ease. That thing that Zdeno did yesterday is certainly going to help Tyler be comfortable.”

Julien reiterated that he doesn’t care for embellishment, either from his club or opposing players.

* Anton Khudobin and 14 skaters practiced today. Seguin, David Krejci, Nathan Horton, Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, Dennis Seidenberg, Andrew Ference, and Tuukka Rask didn’t practice.

* No word on whether Julien will change his lineup against Washington. Chris Bourque could be a healthy scratch for the second straight game.
