The Bruins have completed the deal to acquire Jarome Iginla from Providence, according to TSN.

UPDATE: Iginla has been traded to Pittsburgh. Penguins trump Bruins' offer. Flames acquire first-round pick, Ben Hanowski, and Kenny Agostino.

Iginla was a healthy scratch in Calgary's home game against Colorado on Wednesday. Iginla had a no-trade clause.

The Calgary captain would give the Bruins the forward depth they need heading into the playoffs. Iginla has nine goals and 13 assists this season.

Matt Bartkowski was a healthy scratch for the Bruins' 6-5 shootout loss to Montreal. Prospect Alexander Khokhlachev was also a healthy scratch for Providence against Portland. Both Bartkowski and Khokhlachev could be included in the trade along with a first-round pick.

The trade is expected to be made official on Thursday, which is an off day for the Bruins.
