Ryan Spooner recalled on emergency basis
The Bruins have recalled Ryan Spooner from Providence on an emergency basis. Spooner will play Tuesday against Winnipeg if David Krejci (right leg) is unavailable.
This is Spooner’s second NHL recall. Spooner centered the fourth line against Montreal on Feb. 6. Spooner leads Providence in scoring with 12 goals and 33 assists.
If Krejci can’t play, Rich Peverley could move up to center Milan Lucic and Nathan Horton. Spooner would center the third line between Jay Pandolfo and Jordan Caron.
A possible lineup:
Milan Lucic-Rich Peverley-Nathan Horton
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Tyler Seguin
Jay Pandolfo-Ryan Spooner-Jordan Caron
Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton
Zdeno Chara-Johnny Boychuk
Dennis Seidenberg-Dougie Hamilton
Andrew Ference-Adam McQuaid
Tuukka Rask
Anton Khudobin
