End of game, Bruins 2-0 That's all from Buffalo, where the Bruins came to life in the third period and got a much-needed win.

Third period, 4:16, Bruins 2-0 Horton put the Bruins up by two goals, with a nifty knock in off a pass from Krejci. The top line is acting like it over the last three or four minutes.

Third period, 7:06, Bruins 1-0 Finally. It took nearly 53 minutes, but someone finally scored in this one, with Krejci getting the goal on Ryan Miller.

Third period, 13:05, 0-0 It took nearly seven minutes for the B's to get their first shot of the period on the Buffalo goal. Seriously.

End of second period, 0-0 Two periods done, no scoring. Some nice penalty killing by the B's in that second period, but there was little else.

Second period, 3:53, 0-0That's another penalty killed by the Bruins. Some pretty good shorthanded chances on that one.

Second period, 10:31, 0-0I guess that answered that question. The one thing the Bruins are doing right at the moment is the penalty kill. B's managed to kill back-to-back penalties, with some impressive work from Khudobin.

Second period, 12:33, 0-0 Horton called for hooking. Back on the PK for the Bruins.

Second period, 15:00, 0-0 Boston called for too many men on the ice. Is there anything this team is doing right at the moment?

End of first period, 0-0 There was yet another near miss right on goal, this one for the B's. With 37 seconds left, Lucic got his stick on the puck with an open spot on the left side of the goal mouth, but he couldn't put it home. We're going to the first break scoreless.

First period, 3:08, 0-0 And the refs get the B's for embellishment this time. Seguin goes off. Ehrhoff goes off for interference.

First period, 8:37, 0-0 We've got two penalties -- to Chara for crosschecking and to Ott for unsportsmanlike conduct (embellishing). That second one drew quite the boo from the crowd here. So it's four-on-four hockey now.

First period, 9:05, 0-0 That looked like a sure goal by the Sabres. Except Khudobin robbed Tyler Ennis with an impressive kick save. It was a two-on-one chance for Buffalo, and Khudobin just managed to keep it out of the net. Really nice save.

First period, 12:50, 0-0 The B's managed to kill off that penalty without a lot of chances for the Sabres. That's more that can be said for the first few minutes where there were a couple of close calls on Khudobin.

First period, 14:52, 0-0 Matt Bartkowski called for crosschecking. He's out on the penalty.

Pregame -- It's Anton Khudobin in goal for the Bruins tonight.

Pregame -- We're here in Buffalo, where both teams could really use a win in this game. The Bruins, as you probably know, have lost five-of-seven, including a terrible one to Philadelphia yesterday. The Sabres, meanwhile, are three points out of the eighth playoff spot and are already selling off some parts, with a trade yesterday. Both teams are in the second game of a back-to-back, so it should be interesting to see how this one goes.
