WILMINGTON --- Greetings from Ristuccia Arena where the weary Bruins, who capped a tough stretch of three games in four nights with a 2-1 loss against the Islanders Thursday night at TD Garden, attempted to regroup with a limited workout before traveling to Raleigh, N.C., for Saturday night's game against the Hurricanes.

The guess here is that the healthy scratches from Thursday night's game -- defensemen Wade Redden, Dougie Hamilton, and Aaron Johnson, and forwards Jay Pandolfo and Patrice Bergeron --- will take part in the optional skate. It will be interesting to see if Bergeron, who skated for the first time Thursday morning since suffering a mild concussion in a 2-0 victory at Buffalo March 31, will continue his progress by getting back out on the ice.

We'll check in to see if there are any updates on Brad Marchand, who suffered a mild concussion Wednesday night in a 5-4 victory at New Jersey that resulted in a four-game NHL suspension of Anton Volchenkov.
