Defensemen Dennis Seidenberg, Andrew Ference, and Wade Redden did not participate in the Bruins' morning skate. Their absences indicate that none will be available for Game 1.

“They weren’t on the ice this morning, so it doesn’t look good,” coach Claude Julien said.

Matt Bartkowski, Dougie Hamilton, and Torey Krug will be asked to fill in for the three veteran defensemen. In the morning skate, Hamilton was paired with Zdeno Chara. Bartkowski was on the second pairing with Johnny Boychuk. Krug was with Adam McQuaid.

Brad Marchand left the skate early. Toward the end of the session, Marchand left the ice doubled over in pain. There was no contact involved. Julien said Marchand is fine and will play tonight.

The expected Boston lineup:

Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Nathan Horton
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Jaromir Jagr
Rich Peverley-Chris Kelly-Tyler Seguin
Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

Zdeno Chara-Dougie Hamilton
Matt Bartkowski-Johnny Boychuk
Torey Krug-Adam McQuaid

Tuukka Rask
Anton Khudobin
