Defenseman Johnny Boychuk is also expected to play. He missed Saturday night's game against the Islanders after crashing into the boards on Thursday against the Ducks.
"Their status is good," coach Claude Julien said. "Loui will definitely be in. More than likely, Johnny as well."
Eriksson has missed five games since being the victim of an illegal check to the head that resulted in a seven-game suspension for John Scott of the Sabres. He has skated for the last five days, including in Tuesday's morning skate.
"I don't think I will think that much about it," Eriksson said. "If I'm going to play tonight I'm just going to do the things I'm good at, and not think about what happened last game I played. Those things happen. It's not fun, but it happens. I'm just happy that I'm feeling good right now, and that it's been a good recovery."
Eriksson was partnered with Patrice Bergeron and a rotation of Brad Marchand and Jordan Caron in the skate this morning. Boychuk played alongside his usual partner in Zdeno Chara.
Boychuk said his issue was a back injury, but he's better after missing the one game.
