The Bruins have returned Zach Trotman to Providence. Trotman was brought up on emergency recall on Sunday and played in Monday’s 3-2 win over Los Angeles.

Trotman’s assignment indicates that either Dougie Hamilton (concussion) and/or Adam McQuaid (leg) will be ready when the Bruins return to practice Wednesday. The Bruins have a day off today. Their next game is on Saturday against Philadelphia.

Hamilton missed his fourth straight game Monday. McQuaid, injured in the second period against Chicago, is day-to-day.
