ST. LOUIS – Welcome to the Scottrade Center here in St. Louis, where the Bruins will take on the Blues this evening in their first of two games without defenseman Zdeno Chara.
Chara, of course, has headed to Sochi, Russia, where he will be the flag bearer for Team Slovakia in the Olympic opening ceremonies.
The Bruins had an optional morning skate this morning, with the entire defense participating. The only players absent from the ice were Milan Lucic, David Krejci, Jarome Iginla, Gregory Campbell, Shawn Thornton, and Tuukka Rask.
