NEWARK – Good afternoon from the Prudential Center, where the Bruins will look to stretch their winning streak to 10 games tonight against the Devils.

It is unknown whether Johnny Boychuk will be available tonight. Boychuk traveled with the team and is at the arena. Boychuk did not play in last night’s 4-1 win over Minnesota because of lingering soreness from his collision with the end boards on Saturday.

Chad Johnson, who backed up Tuukka Rask last night, should get tonight’s start.

Puck drop: 7 p.m.

TV/radio info: NESN (Jack Edwards, Andy Brickley, Jamie Erdahl), 98.5 The Sports Hub (Dave Goucher, Bob Beers)

Records: Bruins 46-17-5, Devils 29-26-13

Projected Bruins lineup:

Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Jarome Iginla
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Reilly Smith
Chris Kelly-Carl Soderberg-Loui Eriksson
Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

Zdeno Chara-Dougie Hamilton
Matt Bartkowski-Andrej Meszaros
Torey Krug-Kevan Miller

Chad Johnson
Tuukka Rask

Healthy scratches: Jordan Caron, Corey Potter

Storylines: The Bruins remain in last place in power-play opportunities (190). New Jersey has the second-fewest PP chances (203). Puck possession is not an issue for either team. The low number of opportunities could reflect an overall lack of team speed for both clubs… Jarome Iginla (555 career goals) could tie Hall of Famer Johnny Bucyk for 25th place on the all-time list tonight. Iginla is one off Bucyk’s pace... Zdeno Chara turned 37 today… The Bruins will travel to Denver after tonight’s game. They will have a day off tomorrow and practice on Thursday in preparation for Friday’s game against the Avalanche… Dean Morton and Eric Furlatt will be the referees. Greg Devorski and Tim Nowak will be the linesmen.
