WILMINGTON – Matt Lindblad is projected to make his NHL debut Saturday against Carolina at TD Garden. The Bruins recalled the forward from Providence Friday, and he was one of seven Bruins to participate in an on-ice session at Ristuccia Arena.

The first-year pro projects to be a bottom-six NHL forward. The Bruins, just about locked in to a top-two seed in the Eastern Conference, will use the next month to evaluate players like Lindblad. The three-year Dartmouth forward has 7 goals and 15 assists for Providence this season.

Claude Julien did not specify which player would sit in Lindblad’s place against the Hurricanes.

* Daniel Paille should join Lindblad in the lineup. Paille missed the last two games because of a concussion sustained last Sunday against Florida. Paille skated Friday and said he felt no symptoms.

* Chad Johnson was the lone goalie to skate Friday and should be in goal Saturday.
