MONTREAL — The season's on the brink for the Montreal Canadiens.

After dropping two straight games to the Bruins, including a 4-2 loss Saturday at TD Garden, the Canadiens will get the comfort of home ice at Bell Centre in the hopes to even up the series, 3-3.

So, basically, this is an all hands on deck kind of situation. Around this time of year, each and every single player usually takes part in morning skate ahead of every game. That wasn't the case Monday morning as the Habs' top goalie, Carey Price, opted out of the optional skate.

Price has been pretty solid throughout the series, accumulating 138 saves (27.6 per game). But he has struggled as well, giving up two power play goals in Saturday's Game 5 and five goals in Game 2. Maybe he needs to rest up, both physically and mentally, for tonight's game. It's a big game here in Canada, to put it lightly. (Music started already blaring outside of the arena at 9:30 a.m.) And goalies happen to be different creatures, with quirks of their own merit.

We'll see where Price's head is come puck drop at 7:30 p.m.
