1978: Bruins defeat the Flyers again This Don Cherry-led Bruins team beat the Flyers in five games in the conference finals. Defensemen Rick Smith and Brad Park were third and fourth respectively in the NHL in points scored during the regular season. The Bruins would lose to the Canadiens in the Stanley Cup for the second straight year. Park was second in playoff scoring and assists with nine goals and 11 assists.
