Old-timer makes history
Game 2: Canucks 3, Bruins 2 (OT) A 43-year-old had never scored in a Stanley Cup final prior to Mark Recchi's deflection in Game 2. With the Bruins leading for the first time in the series, defenseman Zdeno Chara fired a shot from the blue line and Recchi tipped the puck past Vancouver goalie Roberto Luongo. Before that goal, Igor Larionov was the oldest player to score in a Cup final. He did it at 41 in Game 4 of the 2002 finals for the Red Wings at Carolina.
