As if we needed further evidence that Boston’s Green Line is horrendously slow, Monday’s Boston Marathon brought us some final proof.

This GIF posted on BostInno via Hayden Bird shows Kenyan female runner and Elite Women’s champion Rita Jeptoo cruising past a Green Line train on route to her course record 2:18:57 finish.

Late night hours have been great for T riders, but it looks like Jeptoo may have just given Mayor Marty Walsh his next public transportation mission.

If his trains can’t outpace a human being who is closing in on 26.2 miles, it might be time to speed things up before commuters take their business to Jeptoo. She might not be able to take as many passengers, but at least a few will actually get to work on time.
