Whether you're a marathoner or not, all runners are invited to check out our cool new feature, Why I Run.

It allows users to post a Twitter-like update that explains what pushes them out the door every morning. Or, post a photo or video as an alternative ways of telling your personal running story.

You can also check it out on the Globe's Facebook page.

While you're at it, we're taking the pulse of the Boston-area running community with our Boston.com running survey.
