Dave_McGillivray.jpgDave McGillivray, the director of the Boston Marathon, recently received the Fleet Feet, Inc., Lifetime Commitment to Running Award.

The award recognizes an industry leader who has shown dedication to the business and sport of running. McGillivray has been race director of the Boston Marathon since 1988 and is president of Dave McGillivray Sports Enterprises, which organizes and produces participation sports events such as the 2004 and 2008 U.S. Women's Olympic Marathon Trials, the TD Bank Beach to Beacon 10K in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, and the Rock ʻnʼ Roll Denver Marathon.
