Runners making their way to Hopkinton

Boston.com team members Ashlee Bright and Jen Larson are at Boston Common, where runners are saying their farewells to family and friends and boarding buses bound for Hopkinton, where the Boston Marathon will begin later this morning.
They've met the following people so far:
Rich Richmond (right), who is visiting from Chicago, has been training for 18 weeks for his first Boston marathon.
Cate Busher, Christine Helsby, Ted Albertson, and Rachel Amendson (above, from left), flew in from Fresno, Calif. and Baltimore. Christine's goal is to cross the finish line at the 3-hour, 30-minute mark.
Mike Rickert is also running his first Boston marathon, and he's been enjoying eating whatever he wants while he's in marathon training.
And Steve Deme, Andy Ulsh, Brian Harris, Danielle Wagner, and Annette Reschke all flew in from Chicago and were looking forward to checking out the local pubs and breweries after the race.
The race begins for the bulk of the field at 10 a.m., with the first of three waves of runners being led by the elite men. The elite women go off at 9:32.
