Salina Kosgei, 32, of El Marakwet, Kenya, won the women's crown edging defending champion Dire Tune, 23, of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia by less than two seconds. Tune feel to the ground at the finish line, being tended to by medical staff. Kara Goucher, 30, of Portland, Ore., finished third, several seconds after Tune. Kosgei finished in 2:32:16.
