After two years, 188 regular season wins, and a trip to the American League Championship Series, the Red Sox have parted ways with Grady Little. Are the Sox making the right move? Who should get his job?

Folex, New London bobby v of espn louis Once again the Red Sox are loosing another great manager. So if he won the World Series would he get a new contract. Hey I know what call Don Zimmer him and Pedro get along!!!!! Bob , Jacksonville FL They are not making the right move!!!!! Do you bench Nomar, Manny, MIllar, Mueller or Ortiz when they have lousy slumps during the playoffs? The answer is NO!! The Sox didn't lose game 7 because Little left Pedro in too long. They lost because Wakefield gave up a bomb to Boone. Little was key in helping with commraderie this season. He also had a lot of "good" feelings/decisions throughout the year. He's gone now.....you watch....Pedro, Manny, Nomar, Walker and others will follow soon. It'll be tough to win next year no matter who's managing, because Pedro and Nomar have one foot out the door. Their commraderie has ended!!!!!!!!!! Makes me sad for Grady, and unhappy ALREADY , about next year. I wish they would hire Harold Reynolds.....won't happen though. Some new kiss-ass "statistics" guy will be next. Karl, Tahlequah, OK Grady's a nice guy, tho I admit his "haunting" remarks were pretty bush league the other day. He kept the ego's of Pedro The Fragile Glass Man & Manny The "I'll try when I feel like it" primadonnas well fed, which is saying something. No wonder they loved him. His moves throughout his tenure haven't been what I consider "quality". He was very inconsistant. This team desrves a high-caliber EXPERIENCED Manager with a lot of baseball savy... someone with fire & energy, and not another Prozac posterboy. Good luck, Grady. Ed, Salisbury Like the finish of this near great season, the decision to ankle Grady Little is a sad and heartbreaking one. Being a folksy good guy who kept high-strung world class athletes together counts for a lot, as do 188 wins, and the Red Sox Nation should be grateful to Grady for his accomplishments. That being written, the ability to make the strategic decisions necessary to read the subtle ways in which a baseball game can turn and outfox hall of fame managers like Joe Torre is even more important. On this score, Grady did not measure up. All season long, he made decisions based on hunches that didn’t pay off. He’s no Earl Weaver, Sparky Anderson, or even Mike Socsia, and Boston requires that kind of manager. The Red Sox front office has put so much effort into finding great players, now it’s time to make that same level of commitment to finding someone truly great to call the shots from the dugout. To play and win in Boston is harder to play and win almost anywhere else in Baseball. It takes not just a good man -- Which Grady most certainly is -- but a world class tactician, politician, and psychiatrist. When held to this measure, Grady Little in first second or third person, didn’t rate. It’s a crying shame. Four days and counting ‘til Halloween, bring on the ghosts... todd, toluca lake, ca Good man, wrong club, bad decisions, Good Luck. Michael, Lincoln Bad move. I hope the team can get a good manager, but I doubt the next manager will do as well as Grady. Can anyone in the Red Sox front office define loyalty? Bye, Bye Grady...
