After two years, 188 regular season wins, and a trip to the American League Championship Series, the Red Sox have parted ways with Grady Little. Are the Sox making the right move? Who should get his job?

Page 28 Grady got it stuck to him by THEO "THE KNOW IT ALL KID" when he supplied a bull pen that sucked beyond belief. If Grady had a closer in april, may and june the sox would have won the pennant by 10 games chuck, merrimack Thank you for creating a whole new generation of tortured Red Sox fans. Eben , Washington, DC The Redsox will not make the Playoffs Next Year... They have made almost all the right decisions until now... They have made a huge mistake in letting Little go... Jim, Braintree How about Aryon Boone father Bob? He got canned in Cinci this year. Tim, New York No, the Sox are not making the right move. Grady made a mistake, a big one, but he is also partly responsible for the 95 wins and 6 post-season wins as well. He deserves a second chance. He should've had his contract renewed months ago. I hope Grady gets the Baltimore job and has success over there. Hopefully now the Rem Dog will now take over at the helm for the Sox. Kevin, Walpole Firing Grady Little is a very bad move. Next year, if the Red Sox are lucky enough be to be in Game 7 of the ACLS, everyone on the field will be too terrified to play. One mistake and they'll be the next Grady Little. It's the worst possible message to send. Who would want to play for a management team - or a city - like that? And as far as management's claim that Little wasn't on the same page re: statistics. Maybe management should meet Little halfway. The Sox topped all sorts of hitting records and won 95 games with a bullpen that didn't show up until the playoffs -- and everybody, the town included, had a great time. Maybe he knows something they don't. Flashster, Portsmouth Tony Pena C.J., Marstons Mills It was not just the decision to leave Pedro in the game in the seventh game against the Yankees. If Grady had done the job the Red Sox would have won the division. And just a thought for all the people who have voiced their support for Little's handling of the players; if these players cannot go out and perform at their highest level next year (and repeat this year's performance) then they are not the "great collection of gamers" they have been made out to be. Paul, Turners Falls I think we can't blame Little that Red Sox is loosing to Yankee in Game 7th. I called it Desitney! If Pedro can't pitch any more, he should let Little know of the situation. Also, what if he took Pedro from the game, and replacing other to pitch, but Red Sox is still loosing to Yankee? What will the fans think? Little should not make that kind of decision. Either or, Little is still wrong. So, I say give him one more chance to coach the team. He could make the team to the play off, he might help the team to get the Champion next year, who knows! Thanks, Bora Bora, N. Quincy, MA 02171 I, too, think it was a mistake to let Grady go. He should have been given another year - he did such a good job helping this bunch of guys work together. As for game 7, what if Grady had taken Pedro out and we'd lost anyway? Folks would be screaming that Grady lost the game by taking Pedro out. Best of luck, Grady, and thanks for a great year.
