So long, Grady

After two years, 188 regular season wins, and a trip to the American League Championship Series, the Red Sox have parted ways with Grady Little. Are the Sox making the right move? Who should get his job?

Grady had three chances to "yank" Pedro. He has to answer for those mistakes. But instead of keeping Little on the hot seat, let's put John Henry there. Maybe that way he'd finally get some color on his pasty white face.

I think it is a shame for the players that Little is leaving. Say what you will, but they sure seemed to like him. Did the Red Sox lose game 7 because of that one decision or because they did not score more runs when they had the opportunity? The decision to take Pedro out is very easy with the benefit of hindsight. If it had worked, he'd be a hero. What about Carlton Fisk for manager??? He certainly knows pitching and was always a leader for the Sox.

I think it's a shame the Sox are throwing Grady away. He's obviously a MAJOR reason this year's team has been one of the best - and really pulled together as a TEAM! Granted, not keep Pedro's ego in check cost us, but I'm sure he's done the Sox more Good than bad over the year! It's a shame one gamble erases a man's day-in day-out contributions.

I am sorry to see Grady go, I had respect for the man and I think he will be missed. I'm proud of the season we had and you can bet he was a huge part of that. THANK YOU GRADY!

When you go from referring to yourself in third-person to referring to yourself as a "ghost that is quite capable of haunting", your time's up. I say bring back Steinbrenner's latest dump, Don Zimmer, as the new Sox manager. If you really wanna kill the curse (and the Boss), who better than the Zipper?!

Why would anyone want jerry remy as manager? It is stupid. Grady Little got the most of his players. My fellow Red Sox fans will drive the next manager out of town just as fast as they did Kevin Kennedy, Jimy Williams, and now Grady Little (Joe Kerrigan was never a manager in my eyes). This truly disgusts me, that a respected manager (by the players, because thats all that matters) would get booted. No Sox manager has ever gotten his team that close to beating the yankees. As one of my good friends said "Games are won and lost on the field, not in the dugout." Grady Little will be missed, and i hope i am wrong, but red sox nation will find this out too soon.

I said it before and i'll say it again, Grady should have benched GARCIAPARRA, the Red Sox will never make it to the World Series with a Dead Bat like Garciaparra's in the line up. I still can't figure why Grady did not take Nomar out or move him down in the line up, like Torre did, he changed his line up and went to the World Series again. Red Sox Mgmnt needs to wake up if they want to WIN.

A typical Red Sox move-small-minded, petty and vindictive, and aided by some over-the-top, pitchfork-bearing writers and fans. The atmosphere surrounding this team is atrocious, and changing managers every 1-2 years will never be the answer. It's too bad for Grady-he seemed like a consensus-builder for the team, and a nice guy to boot. Again, a typical Red Sox move.

I don't have a memory of a Sox team that was happier to be on the field together than the 2003 group. They're achievements reflected that happiness, as did the relaxed media scrutiny (unheard of around these parts). I think canning Little was plain stupid, though I do think he was out managed in game 7 of ALCS. Cubbies lost in their League. Do you think they should drop Rusty Baker? Of course not! Little did as well as Rusty, but he worked in the angriest city , with the angriest fans.

Y is our expectations so high when we haven't won it in who cares how many years? Getting rid of a manager who was inches from a World Series, just like how we got rid of Jimy when the team was 11 games over .500 and a couple games out of first.. yeah, no wonder we haven't won! Red Sox people and fans are whiners..
