After two years, 188 regular season wins, and a trip to the American League Championship Series, the Red Sox have parted ways with Grady Little. Are the Sox making the right move? Who should get his job?

Page 36 Good luck Grady, and thanks for 2 of the most exciting years of baseball Boston has ever seen. You took a bunch of guys and turned them into a team. A tough job done well. Even if the front office didn't appreciate your talent for team building, a lot of us here in Red Sox Nation did. We _will_ miss you! Wendy, Nashua, NH Yes there was some bad decisions. But, at least we were contenders and not in last place. The players like him and his record was a good one. Good luck Grady.... Chris, Bradford IT DEFINATELY SHOULD BE *********JERRY REMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!******* kim, framingham Maybe John Henry is reacting to the fact that the team he nurtured for a few years won the whole thing and his new team came up short. Corporate baseball just plain sucks. Al, Minneapolis Time to move on. Now where's Mike Stanley? Bill, Somerville I feel Grady is getting the quick hook here. Yes, I am very disappointed that we were not the ones in the World Series this year. This WAS the year and everyone knows it. Being a manager today you are always second guessed. I would have pulled Pedro before pitching to Posada, but the crowd was going crazy and the Yankees were pumped. I think whomever was brought in to pitch would have given it up anyway. Am I a Little fan? No, but he got the job done (almost all the way). Pulled the plug on Jimy Williams too quick and now Grady. I bet we don't even make the playoffs next year now. Chemistry is everything and this team had plenty of it this year. We'll see. No retread managers please. I'll take Hoffman. Mike G, Epsom Grady Litlte managed a team which won a lot of games over the past two seasons, I believe he was very responsible for the hustle and competitive fire of this years club I believe the players truly wanted to play for him and if the hitters hadn;t gone into a post seaon swoon, Nomar and Mueller most noteably, then the situation regarding Pedro in game 7 would have been moot, true he was struggling but we got beat on a bleeder Considering who else is out there and knowing that the Yankees will re-tool quickly I believe we (Red Sox nation) are adotping many of the unfavorbable traits of the evil empire bob, norton I am very disappointed. In our frenzy to beat the Yankee's/ curse and whatever we are forgetting how well the team has actually done under Little. I'm am really wondering if we will ever reach that illustrious goal if we continue this path. For once we really had a team not just a bunch of individuals. This was a good season and I for one am proud of our boys! Sondra, Pawtucket, RI Horrible decision...Does he only get credit for the losses and not the wins? When the Sox fail to reach the playoffs next year will you whiners admit you were wrong? Don't think so. Mike, Mobile, AL The Grady Little situation has been weighing on my mind since Posada's dog fart up the middle in game 7. At first I joined with my fellow Yankee Haters in Red Sox nation to call for Little's head. However, in the days since I have changed my mind. In order to see this situation clearly you have to understand baseball and how a team works. Little won 93 and 95 games in two years and brought his team to the 12th inning of game 7 of the ALCS. A reasonable human being would agree those accomplishments alone should be enough to save his job. Yet what Grady did in the clubhouse in keeping all the " I " players (Manny, Pedro) on page with team chemistry was much more important. This years team stole our hearts because the players played with a respect and love for the game that you rarely see anymore. Manny has spoken on record saying he wanted Grady back. Can you believe that? Manny supporting a manager. All I know is that without Grady Little's approach to the game and treatment of clubhouse matters the Sox would not have made it one game short of the Series. Next year they won't make the playoffs unless they find a Grady Twin... PS Remy? Are you people serious?
