After two years, 188 regular season wins, and a trip to the American League Championship Series, the Red Sox have parted ways with Grady Little. Are the Sox making the right move? Who should get his job?

Page 44 Sox need to project Winning Is Everything attitude. No "A" for effort. Grady had to go to send the message to our players, and to the opposing teams, that the RedSox are not happy, cannot be happy, until we win the whole thing. We have the players, we have been tested, and we are ready to go Wire to Wire in '04. Frank, Takoma Park MD We lost. It really hurts, but this need to blame someone for the loss is so reflective of our victim-mentality society. It was a great series of equally matched rivals that came down to one home run. If only there were more people as passionate about politics and the devastation in Iraq. Little chose to go with his gut, and he stood by his decision. He can not be faulted. Deborah, Boston Yes, he should be fired for not having any faith in a bullpen that performed magnificently during the playoffs--he didn't even give them a chance to do it! Mike Hargrove--he's managed Manny before and is tough. He took Cleveland all the way. Robin , Charlottesville, VA I feel we should bring back Kevin Kennedy. He's too good of a manager to be passed over. Duquette has no idea what he was doing when he let him go. Chris, Conyers, GA I am sad that Grady is gone and will miss him very much. I became Grady's fan the day he shaved his head to cowboy up along with his players. For me, baseball is about having fun. It's not all about winning. That's why I'm not a yankees fan. They win a lot, but it's no fun being their fan. I had the most fun being a red sox fan this year than any other years. Not only we had so much fun, we advanced to the game 7 of ALCS. Grady, thank you for giving us such a wonderful year. Good luck. You will be missed. Jane, Boston Good riddance - Even my wife could see that Pedro needed to come out. Good luck working the snack stand at the local little league game Grady Greg, Westwood I think Grady was AWESOME.....then again, I am a Yankee fan.. Ha ha!! Bill, Northborough Grady Little had to be let go. That said, Jim Leyland should be given the helm. Bill, brighton This was surely the easiest decision, but what do you expect of an ownership that makes a major leage park look like a AAA field. Height of irony: Pavono winning big while Pedro is at home. What have we won with Mr Martinez? Let's take the long term view, build the team, we almost made it this year The worst thing about this is hearing the inane comments about Remy -- it only makes sense because he is such a lousy analyst. charles , newton I believe the Sox have made the wrong decision, at least until the Sox brass provide their reasons beyond the Game 7 issue. It is hard for me to believe that a manager who has averaged 90 wins in his two seasons could be let go when you never know how many wins even the best available candidate can provide. I am a die-hard fan, and I want the Sox to win it all next year. But I would not mind seeing the Sox drop every game to whichever team Grady signs on to manage, and lose a chance at the playoffs because of it. I hope the Sox are humiliated each and every time they face Grady. When the Sox finish 4th in the East and Grady is in the post-season, imagine what the Sox fans will be saying then. The same person who wanted Grady to be fired the moment Boone's HR left his bat will be wondering how the Sox ever let him go. This I promise. It is the nature of the ignorant Red Sox fans. They get so caught up in the moment and never think things through. Until I see the other reasons the Sox wanted to let Little go, I will stand behind my thoughts that it is a dark day for the Red Sox franchise. Thanks for listening.
