Man oh Manny

What do you think of the decision to put Manny Ramirez on irrevocable waivers? Will another team -- (gulp) Yankees -- take on the $104 million remaining on his eight-year, $160 million contract? If no team claims Ramirez, will the All-Star slugger get traded?

I THINK THEY ARE STUPID. THEY HAVE A GOOD TEAM. THEY ALL GET ALONE GREAT

MARIA, BOSTON

Manny deserves whatever Manny gets.. If he is unhappy in Boston, then send him on his merry little way and let him take his bat and ball. Boston is going to be a better place without him. Let's build on the chemistry of TEAM WORK.. AS he has stated . he would like to some day play in Yankee Stadium. If George and his crew would like him , by all means let George and his crew have him. Or any team for that matter.

Kevin, Hudson

Time to throw out the garbage. Garbage pail #1: Grady Little, #2: Manny Ramirez, #3: Pedro Martinez (This one is an entire dumpster of sh%#.)

Jim, Wilmington

Manny has been valuable with his bat but not with his attitude or his hustle. He is essentially a $100m DH. We can find free agents for less money who may not be quite as good of hitters but they are still good hitters and better overall baseball players.

WHAT???

Sean, Cambridge

Must have been Grady Little's last dumb move before he left!

NB, Boston

I think it is fantastic...the only players on the red sox who are self-centered egotistical idiots are manny and pedro...let the clean up begin....lets hope the yankees pick him up the sox will win within 2 years...bravo!!!!!!!!!!

The new management has "metal" I'll give them that. Personally, I think we've all began to understand Manny. I love him on our team. His team seems to care for him too. The entire team chemestry will need be re-established. Good luck to the new manager! Hopefully the big picture works according to plan.

Grady, Charlotte

He's way overpaid for an idiot! I applaud the move.

Eric, Dracut

If this move helps free up money to pay Nomah, free agent pitching studs, Varitek and Ortiz, don't let the door hit you in the backside leaving the Ritz. Enjoy NY. I bet the Mets pick him up.
