What do you think of the decision to put Manny Ramirez on irrevocable waivers? Will another team -- (gulp) Yankees -- take on the $104 million remaining on his eight-year, $160 million contract? If no team claims Ramirez, will the All-Star slugger get traded?

He's a primadonna who choked when we needed him the most. He's not worth the money we pay, and he doesn't gel with the attitude of his teammates. Any Sox fan living in NYC knows that when we argue with a Yankees fan over payroll, all they ever do is bring up Manny. I always reply, "I don't even like Manny." Any general manager in his right mind that could afford that bloated contract will make a move for the same guys the Red Sox want to get, i.e. Valdimier Guerrero, Bartolo Colon, or Kevin Millwood. Manny has led the A.L. in on-base pct 2 straight years. He makes the rest of his team better. Matt, Newton Dump him sign Vlad. Trade Mueller and Nomar for a #1 pitcher and sign Tejada.
