Good move ,but it will strenthen yanks if they bite on,but sox will have more flexibility to sign there own free agents and another starter,and possibly Guerroro.

If it is the only way to have enough money to sign Lowe, Nomar, Tek, Nixon and Pedro I'm all for it. If they aren't going to sign those guys then I question it unless they use the money to sign two good free agents.

He's not a team player, he could care less if the team wins or loses. During the season he played great but wimped out during the playoffs. Sox could use his salary to get any number of players that add to the clubhouse team spirit.
