Yanks will consider it but with the GM.Manager status in dissaray, they may not want to eat the salary right now. Because of the problems they had with their most recent highly paid cry baby Raul Mondesi. The Yankees may not want to offer a contract to a player, that is just as much of a clubhouse cancer if not even even more of cancer. Especially if they have an inkling that he will embarass the Yankees name.

I think this move is terrible. The only team that could claim him is the Yankees. Why would we let that happen? So it can bite us in the ass? I have to think/hope that Theo knows what he is doing, however as close as we came last year why would you want to mess around with that chemistry. Manny, maybe however the talk of Pedro and Nomar NO WAY. I don't know why fans are so quick to turn on Pedro. He is the best pitcher in the game and even if he is getting older, I wouldn't want to see him anywhere else. Keep the team together and go get Millwood or Colon.

I think it's a good move.. but one that will come back to haunt the Sox. They will have to be careful. Nomar doesn't want to be here and would love to find a reason to move back to California. Don't be surprised if he ends up with the Angels.
