The Red Sox are the biggest Idiot francise in the league. Always giving people away. did you see what Manny did for us this year? Some of his home runs helped win games. That is the number one reason why boston will never win a world series ever again. The Red sox are so cheap if any child wanted to play for $8 they would sign him a contract. Its is outragous. Why do you think the yankees have a world series team? Because they pay good money to win championship. I think we're all sick and tired of players who make millions and still can't get it straight. Ramirez is a one-dimensional ballplayer. Sure he can hit, but his fielding is mediocre, he can't run bases, and doesn't care about any other aspects of the game except batting and picking up his paycheck. I don't find his personality "endearing", just maddening. And with all his money, he can't even talk to the press? I say good riddance. To tell you the truth, he could take Martiinez with him.

I'm glad manny is on his way out...he's a head case and when we needed him most he took a vacation...for 20 million a year we should get more from our star players than what we get from manny. I think this is a very good move out of the core red sox players manny is the one who will missed least. Now if we can just get rid of Pedro and get a real ace who can hold a lead and pitch well for more than six innings. Oh, by the way am I the only one who thinks nomar is going to high tail it back to the west coast as soon as possible? Mixed emotions here...if we lose Manny, do we really think that Ortiz and Millar and Mueller will have seasons like they did this year?, will we get someone good to replace Manny (Sheffield or Guerrero) or will we go for pitching in Millwood and Colon?...I wouldve gotten rid of Nomar before Manny, Nomar was terrible in the postseason when Manny was pretty clutch...
