Rushing to the offense

During their first encounter, the Patriots racked up 161 rushing yards against the Titans. Can we expect the same performance from a team that ranked 27th in the NFL when it came to rushing or will Tennessee put the clamps on the Pats' ground attack?

The Pats have more experience this year. They will play better than they did the first time they playd the Titans. Much has changed since then..

I don't think we will see the same average yards per running play but I do think that the Pats will keep the Titans defense off-balance with a good mix of pass-run plays so the Titans will have to keep guessing. I think that the Buffalo game showed how the Pats can exploit a defense and I expect that to continue all through the playoffs. GO PATS!

The Patriots will do just enough running to keep the Titans honest (and win the game). Don't expect New England's rushing yardage to be anywhere near the prior total. The Titans have the #1 ranked rushing defense in the NFL for a reason. With their defensive line intact, Tennessee will shut down the Pats rushing from a statistical point of view.

Tim, Brookline

I think the Titans will make adjustments in their run defense. I believe the Pats may use quite a few draw plays if they intend to jump start their running games after establishing their passing game. It looks to me like Antoine Smith runs better in the "I" formation as opposed to the 2 tight end set. I think we will see quite a lot of that.

NO! The Titens are no joke, all of the pressure os on the Pats now. At home, 14-2 record. Everybody is expecting them to roll right to the SuperBowl. Watch out for the Titens. McNair is a Soldier.

With the Patriots and Charlie, you don't know what to expect

Tennessee knows the Patriots offense goes only as far as Tom Brady takes them, not their running game. They will try and stop the short passing routes the Pats are known for and hope the man to man coverage down field doesn't hurt them. The Pats have a good opportunity to run if they complete the short throws. If not, look for Tennessee to put the clamps down on the Pats offense. This game will be a defensive showdown. Turnovers will be key.

Mike Cloud must be in the coach's dog house and you can't score points from there.

Bud , Gloucester, Va.

Cloud was a rabbit Weis pulled from his hat last time. I don't think you'll see that again. I expect see action spread from Faulk early to Smith later. They will try to score early with 3,4 & even 5 receiver sets. Small passing plays will be the key to sucess here. If they get a significant lead I see Weis giving Smith the ball a lot. Oh yeah - our defense will put McNair on a stretcher.

Eric, Westboro

I think they can run the ball with success on saturday night.I believe A.smith is running as well as he has all season just as he did at the end of 2001 season and postseason. He was lost for a while during season between injuries and the RBBC that the Patriots tried.I think he needs atleast 20 carries to effective as he allways seems to get stronger as the game goes on.I would like to see patriots mix it up with Faulk and Cloud in the mix also.I have a ticket waiting for me for the AFC Championship and fully intend on using it.GO PATS
