The Patriots' defense has been huge at home all season, allowing just 68 points. They pitched three shutouts. They've made the key plays when it has counted. It's time Patriots Nation gives this unit a nickname. Send in your suggestions.

I sorta like the one they picked - Homeland Defense

The Patriots' defense should be called "The Razor's Edge". The defense has left many an oppenent nicked, cut, and wounded after visiting Gillette Stadium. Since a few national publications insist that we locals call Gillette Stadium "The Razor" (we don't), "The Razor's Edge" would be a fitting name for the defense.

"MON-STAAH DEFENSE" This was a characterization written by a columnist of the New York Post in the fall of 2002 after the beating of the Jets. "This defense is a MON-STAHH!!!! (they do not appreciate the Boston accent)

Simple, "GAME OVER". Whenever they hit the field, the other teams offense doesn't have a chance.

Pat's tough D unit or Doughboy UP

How about "The Glacier", kind of like the "Steel Curtain" but it's in snowy Foxboro. (Oh, and Ted Washington is about the size of one)
