How can the Pats beat Indianapolis?

What is the best way to beat the Colts? Will offensive coordinator Charlie Weis opt to attack Indianapolis' speedy defense with Tom Brady's arm or on the legs of running backs Antowain Smith, Kevin Faulk, and Mike Cloud? Or will New England's stifling defense put a halt to the Peyton Manning-led offense?

The patriots should start the game with a hurry up offense and use A. Smith and Faulk as much as possible in the first Quarter. The second quarter should be wide open and utilize several "Trick Plays" to open up the suspect Colts defense. The overall offense should be one designed to eat up the clock to keep the Colts offense off the field. The defense should be designed to defend the pass with many blitzes.

The way to beat us is if our offense doesn't show up for the game. Of course our defense won't, but they'll come up with a big play or two when it counts. All the talk about how Peyton and the offense shredded two weak defenses is nonsense. Let's not forget he threw FOUR TDs and and scorched your "awesome" defense for almost 300 yards. we lost that game because of poor kickoff coverage....and you can bet Johnson will be hemmed in to the corner on every kickoff this time. Oh, and the weather? 30 and sunny....you know it gets cold here too....and they did win in Denver last year in a driving snow storm. The game will be a classic, I'm looking forward to it as a football fan as well as a Colt's fan. Go Colts!

The best way to beat the Colts is to use up the clock as much as possible and not keep our defense out there all day. Run the ball as best you can. Have Brady do short passes all day. The Colts' Defense sucks and we need to take full advantage of it! Dont' let out punter punt. On the defensive side of things, we need to confuse Manning. Pressure him all day long. Attack him whenever possible. Have Ty Law cover Harrison all day. Edgerin won't be able to rack up many yards with our Defense.

Hey, straight from Africa.....turnovers....we can't afford any and could use an interception or two! Go to T. Brown aka sticky fingers. The rest will be smooth sailing.

Play as usual and keep Manning off the playing field. We can stall Manning, doubt we can stop him.

I WILL TELL YOU. ITS SIMPLE. SMACK PEYTON MANNING IN THE MOUTH, DO THE SAME TO MARVIN HARRISON. THERE IS NO WAY THE COLTS COME INTO GILETTE AND WIN. ITS FREAKING IMPOSSIBLE!

While we will pressure Manning into some poor decisions/throws, the Colts will still make some plays and get their points. We need to hold them to less than 28 points to win. The key is that the defence or special teams scores at least one TD for us (another Bethel kick-off return TD would definitely be nice). On offense, Brady will produce points against a really poor secondary. Losing Woody may cause some pass protection problems, so we need to ensure that Freeney is always picked up. I see a big game from Troy Brown (maybe a punt return TD?) and I also see Brady's biggest game yet as he I'm sure feels slighted by the Pro Bowl decisions. Prediction is: Patriots 30 Colts 26.

simply...play the type of game they played against Indy a few weeks back when the Pat's piled points on the board early....defense will hold up fine against Manning and the running game which we have proven to tottally shutdown.......looking forward to the match-up....bring it on Indy!

Maybe take a page or two from the defensive game plan against the Rams in the '01 Super Bowl. Hit the receivers early and hard. Keep Manning off the field. Maybe bring the screen pass back a few plays and be careful of that 'sideways' pass. Everyone expects it now, and it can lead to an interception.

KC's defense blitzed Manning the exact same number of times that Indy was forced to punt. 'nuf sed. KC's Defensive Coordinator was fired / asked to resign yesterday. R. Crennell should be interviewing GM's in cities where he would consider a head coach position, not the other way around! Instead, teams scramble to fill vacancies with ex-coaches that have proven they can't win, and coordinators whose teams are no longer competing in the tournament. A very perverse system. Bellicheck knows and is renewing the contracts to keep his General's in place. THAT"S how & why the Pats will beat the colts.
