The Wacky Challenge
If you could cook one meal for Patriots nose tackle Ted Washington, what would it be? (Remember, Tiny Ted is 6'5" and weighs 365 pounds.) He's a Florida guy (he attended Tampa Tech), so maybe he likes gator. He went to Louisville for college, so perhaps he has a taste for birds. His father played linebacker for the old Houston Oilers...Campbell soup? Moon cakes? Send us your tasty tidbits for Ted. We'll have a panel look over the menus and choose the one that makes them drool the most. The winner will get a corny prize -- sent by our Marketing Dept. in seven to 10 business days, or whenever they stop drooling.
Page 1 Start with a huge antipasto -- plenty of great provolone, salami, cappacola, roasted marinated peppers, and salad greens. Next is a hot stuffed artichoke (stuffed with parmesan, seasoned bread crumbs, mushrooms and garlic). (have pinot grigio with these two courses) Then -- chicken cacciatore in a rich, spicy fresh tomato sauce full of peppers, garlic, onions and flavored with wine -- cavatelli pasta on the side. (drinking red zinfandel) Finish it off with chocolate tiramisu, espresso and sambuca. Enjoy!! Lisa, Lincoln, MA The perfect meal for Ted Washington right now is an appetizer of Deshaun Foster followed by a main course of Stephen Davis. He can cap off his meal with a Mickey Mouse Ice Cream bar at Walt Disney World after winning the Super Bowl. Ben, Easton, MA Ted feasts on Delhomme Jambalaya, prepared by the Charlotte Kittens. Start with one part jerk (as in W. Sapp) chicken-- as in what happens to opponents' receivers when they dare venture into Pain Central-- the Pats' secondary. Add legs, arms of Kitten running backs, stripped away if they dare cross the line of scrimage. Season with Loser-y-ana Lightning (drink not the old Yank-Me pitcher) as that will be what the Kittens need to console themselves after being yet another Cinderella team that was mugged at the Big Show. Pete, England Texas fried Panther, with a side of smoked Delhomme. Nick, Portland, Maine Appetizers: 6 kinds of cheese and 12 types of crackers Honey Roasted Chicken Wings Grapes Watermelon A whole roasted pig over an open pit Buckets of Fried Chicken Sides of: Candied Yams Dirty Rice Collared Greens Smashed Potatoes Desert: Pecan Pie Sweet Potatoe Pie Choclate Cake Beverages: Ice Tea Lemonade Dave, Bellingham I would give him some of my mom greatest barbeque chicken and some jamaican rice and beans. Donya, brighton mass I say don't feed him at all. Let him get good and hungry before the game, then get out of his way and let him eat whatever he wants! JMV, Chelmsford Pancakes a la DelHomme Adam, Portland Nothing spells New England like clam Chowder.! Andrew , Easton 16 oz t-bone steak, pound of mashed potatoes, green beans with bacon, gallon milk and for desert one whole poundcake Andrew , Indianapolis, IN
