Wacky Challenge: Sing us a song
Name a song that best describes the Pats and tell us why. This idea came from Scott of Raleigh, N.C., (yes, a Pats fan living in enemy territory!). Scott's choice is "September" by Earth, Wind, and Fire. Why? As Scott says, "It's the last time we lost a game." That's the spirit we like! What's your idea? What song best captures this New England Patriots championship team -- and why? The winner will get a cheesy prize -- sent by our Marketing Dept. in seven to 10 business days.
Page 1 "Ain't no stoppin us now" Because there ain't no stoppin the PATRIOTS on their way to the Lombardi Trophy!!!! Steven , Brockton "Sad But True" by Metallica Why? Well, becuase the whole country can't stand the fact that we are at the Super Bowl and they are watching from home. Wake up everyone and deal with it. Paul , Hingham I know this will be said at least 100 times but it is the only one that fits: WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!! Marina, Allston "No Surrender" Bruce Springsteen. "There's a war outside still ragin' and you say ain't our's anymore to win". Too all the national nay-sayers, we will win!!! Jay , Medford Why can't we have a Super Bowl Shuffle like the Bears to get everyone pumped- an instant classic? Seth, Rumford NO SLEEP 'TIL HOUSTON! this would be the ultimate pats song, I need to work on appropiate lyrics but you could make a kick-ass song to the Beastie Boys "No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn" with lyrics pertaining to the pats unyeilding defense and efficient offense. Andrew , Milton "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" The words say it all!! Go PATS!! Cindy, Wareham "Takin' care of business!" Matt , Attleboro The best song to describe the Pats is without question "One" by Creed. The song is about unity and brothership; the concept that the strength of a united group is far greater than a group of individuals... That principle has enabled the Pats to overcome injuries and adversity. In 2001 and this year, they will be announced at the superbowl not as individuals, but as ONE. "The only way is one." James , North End, Boston "Welcome to the Terrordome" by Public Enemy. Anyone having played in Foxboro this year could not disagree 9-0 record, outscored opponents 210-96. Gregg , Manchester, NH
