Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

Eh, what does it matter? Janet Jackson was lame. Lip-synching songs that were popular 20 years ago? The biggest travesty there was that she probably got millions for showing up in a terminator costume. I agree with the comment about Kid Rock - at least he sang and was thoroughly entertaining. He should have done the whole show! Round up the rest of the folks (who have one brain between all of them) and let Kid rock out.

It was the worst super bown half-time show ever. Why don't they plan a half-time show for adults instead of teeny-boppers. Aside from the Jackson incident, the rapper lyrics were not suitable for family viewing either. Didn't CBS monitor the half-time show during the week?

People need to lighten up. The Patriots won and even if they lost this "incident" would be minimal. To the people who are truly bothered by this I'll assume that you never leave your homes, never watch TV commercials, never see magazines in the checkout lane, and never look at highway billboards. For those who are the self-proclaimed "morality police", take a deep breath and focus your outrage in a direction that could actually help solve a real problem, like health care, homelessness, or education. It's the Super Bowl not Pat Robertson's 700 Club.

Good for MTV! It's nice to see the human body on television. CBS and MTV are private enterprises, and the fact that there is an FCC (ie: a government regulation of the media) is downright communist. There is another place in the world where the government has control over the media: it's called China. The human body is a beautiful thing. If you are complaining because your children saw a breast, then I feel sorry for your children. Shame on you parents.

I'm sad to see that everybody is so shocked by all the drama of bare-breasted Janet Jackson, and CBS's failing standards and other such trivial crap, when nobody gave a hoot about the fact that CBS decided to decline showing an advertisement that looks upon the current administration unfavourably, but of course, erectile dysfunction ads are all over the place.

Hard to say whether it was intentional. But all you fuss-budgets who are worried about the children seeing a boob... are you at all concerned about the beer-drinking, boosting ads? Or the vampire killer ads for CSI? Or the gun violence in the video game ads? We had our kids hiding their faces and covering their ears during the commercials. Not sure if they actually understood that Janet's boob was bared but they sure as heck didn't need the violence and ignorance in the ads.

1. MTV produces the halftime show, the same network that shows "Punk'd"

2. They have such wholesome music as "It is getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes" during the show. By some guy who keeps grabbing his crotch during the whole thing.

3. They have Puffy/Diddy/Piddy/Sean Combs performing (and at that point who didn't think the special guest was going to be JLo????), despite being a convicted gun toting felon who speeds away from the scene of the crime.

4. Janet Jackson (who hasn't had any sort of hit in HOW long?) is performing with Justin Timberlake, singing a song about how he's gonna get her into bed, there's the bumpin and the grindin and the grindin and the bumpin and then...

5. Janet Jackson gets her top ripped off and instead of wearing what my mom calls a "foundation garment" she's wearing a silver star on her boobie?

He reached over and ripped it off. It was clearly planned and in very poor taste.I'm not a prude, I just think it was a dumb way to end that show. The entire Halftime show was terrible. What is the need for rap and rock concert as entertainment at a football game? Was it a giant ad for the Grammys? And what were those contraptions that looked like curved ladders that people were hanging off of around the stage? I think the whole concept of the Haltime Show needs to be revised. The Game itself was great..both teams..I'm glad the Patriots could bring some class to the evening.
