Jackson bares breast during half time show

Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

It was staged... you could see him rip it off of her... pretty funny I thought... but the older folks I watched the game with were just digusted...

Congradualtions to the Patriots, They did a great job and did it with true American style.

But the Janet Jackson stunt, ruined the tone of the game.

Its sad when publicity stunts have reach this vulgar low in America, is Janet that desperate for attention? It is a sad epitath on American cultrue that to get attention one has to be obsurd and vulgar. Most of the show was vulgar, gutter trash as far as I'm concerened.

Lowering of standards and morals seems to be the new way to make money and gain popularity, but is this what we want for our nation? Is this waht we want our youth to aspire too?

It seems todays Idols and "role models" best contibution is the promotion of gutter life and lewedness, Whats worst is those in control of the media and such events dont seem to realsie the damage this inflicts uppn our youth and culture, So it is, when people are more concerend with popularity and proft, over what makes a country good and decent and liveable.

I pray that we dont have to put up with that type of stuff next year, Janet and crew..put a stain on such a great moment for the N.E Patriots!

God bless America

For both MTV and Justin to say it wasn't planned is a bold face lie! Come on, She had a star on her breast!

Most kids would probably not notice it unless adults point it out and make a big deal about it.

I don't consider myself a prude by any stretch of the imagination, however I found Janet's and Justin's little act deplorable. There were young boys and girls in the audience! That type of performance is fine for late night shows, or cable, but I don't think it has any place in a family oriented forum.

I know she is probably desperate for attention due to a dying career, but that is pretty pathetic and rather desperate.

Let's review: Janet Jackson's costume rips away strategically in Timberpond's hand. (you can almost see the veclro). The resultant exposed breast is sporting a pastie.

And we're debating whether or not this was staged?

CBS should be ashamed. But more so for their lame game coverage than their lame halftime show. Phil Sims actually called this an ugly game -- twice!

Chatham should have tackled him instead of the streaker....

The fact that you people are sitting here talking about it is exactly what they want -- shock value. I thought it was kind of funny...

I think the Janet stunt, was tasteless. It's not about her breast showing, it's how it is done. I think she is really reaching and the end of the performance was truly desperate. CBS should be ashamed of themselves. This is definitely part of the reason this country is going in the toilet and the youth of today is so backwards. They have no values or morals and sex rules everything. It is a terrible shame.

Doesn't anyone else think that the image of a man reaching over and ripping off a part of a woman's clothing is messed up?

I'm not against boobs on tv, but this wasn't janet showing hers, this was justin ripping off her clothes in front of a few hundred million people.

Isn't that messed up?

You know, for someone who seemed to be making an attempt at Patriotism, maybe Kid Rock should read the US Flag code - wearing it as clothing is considered disrespectful.

As for Janet and Justin - is it going to traumatize kids for life? No. Was it appropriate to the venue? No.
