Jackson bares breast during half time show

Pop superstar Janet Jackson lost her chest plate during her Super Bowl XXXVIII half time performance, giving football fans an unexpected peep show. It appeared as though singer Justin Timberlake ripped it off as part of the show, revealing Jackson's right breast with a silver star on it. Did someone go too far?

Congradulations to the Pats! I missed the game, but saw the half time show. It was not good music at all, period! Better to have some more classy performers like Manhattan Transfer

As for the bare breast? Are Americans STILL

in the dark ages? In Sweden one can see bare breasts at 8 pm on television. Big deal!! I think bare breasts can be seen as a part of our natural body. And that should be ok.

It's up to parents and adults to educate children on nudity and the nature of it. It seams to me that it's all show and not to be taken seriously. Sure! Sex sells! But would one rather promote violence? Not a big deal for kids really. Drugs, alcohol and violence are another thing altogether. Focus on that instead of one second of nudity!

Kids learn values from their parents and caring adults, not from low class acts like the one last night. It was shameful of MTV to produce such a bad show. Better music next time, regardless if a brest is shown or not.

Shoulda had Toby and Willie doing half-time...more talent, less crap. Janet can't sing, Justin can't sing...the only highlight of the halftime show was Kid Rock.

The half-time routine was disrespectful to two great teams. The men on both of these teams are of great character and excellent role-models. The entire half-time routine was tacky, immature and classless. But what else could we expect from the MTV generation? The Patriots and Panters deserved a half-time routine as professional and classy as they are. Thank you Pats & Panthers for a fantastic game!!

I thought the MTV show was horrible. Plus, with Janet showing off her breast it basically was an "R" rated show. And, with millions of youngsters looking who needed it.

Loved the all-star cast (opportunity to get up and shake it, get pumped for second 1/2). Wished Beyonce were at half time, though she did rock the Anthem. The Janet move was gratuitous and slightly horrifying. Why would she offer that up, and why have a woman twice Justin's age? A tribute to Jack and Diane?

Firstly, it was, I believe, an accident. Secondly, please remember what breasts really are meant for. I think the other entertainers were far more rude, offensive and couldn't even sing!

Bring back the Standford Band!

(Just make sure they wait until it's actual halftime)

The silver lining in this whole thing.....MTV hopefully will never be in charge of another halftime show and we can have some real entertainment!

Obviously this was planned. Jackson had been saying all week she had something special planned for the show. And what was Timberlake trying to pull off when he reached across her body if not that part of her costume.

Another whacko happening from the always strange Jackson family.

People who are upset at this stunt and find it morally reprehensible or rude are not only prudes, but they are laughable.

Worried about what your kids see on tv? How about trying to raise them with some hands-on parenting and values so that they will be able to distinguish on their own what is appropriate and inappropriate behavior? If you are worried that your kid is going to go out and re-enact what he/she has seen on tv, it is already too late.

Tivo sales should be going up after that show!
